Reverend Nancy Reeves

Pastor
(grace.nereeves@gmail.com)

Pastor Nancy Reeves had a dream of starting a new church for those who did not have a church home.  Thirty-eight people gathered in her living room one November evening to share their hopes and dreams for a new church family.  One month later this group gathered for their first worship service on a cold December night in a park.

Pastor Nancy graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in education in 1977.  As a full time mom and church volunteer, she slowly accept God’s calling to serve Christ in new ways and entered Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in the fall of 1988.  Her husband Kevin and children Matt, Chris and Vicky have been a true source of strength and encouragement.

Her first call was as Associate Pastor at University Presbyterian Church where her responsibilities included Evangelism and Education.  While at UPC Pastor Nancy began embracing her gifts in the area of Evangelism, feeling called to invite people to explore both their faith and doubts.  As her dream of a new congregation began to unfold, Pastor Nancy has encouraged people to come a little closer to Christ, feeling free to express their questions and struggles with faith issues.

Pastor Nancy believes that we all have unique gifts and invites the congregation to discover and celebrate their God given gifts.  She feels that the church is a family and seeks to have the congregation care for one another during good times and difficult times.

Andrew Chapman

Seminary  Intern

Andrew is a student at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He and his wife Tiffany have been active members in Covenant Presbyterian Church prior to coming to Grace.  Andrew is full time student, in addition to working as a commercial estimator.  His wife Tiffany is a photographer.  They are expecting their first child in July!  I hope you will join us in welcoming both Andrew and Tiffany to the family of Grace.

Kirk Hutcherson

Music Director

Kirk Hutcherson officially joined the Grace staff as Music Director in 2008, but Kirk was not new to Grace.  Kirk and his family were charter members and he has been involved in the music program for many years.  Kirk has worked for Pitney Bowes for over 20 years as a Systems specialist.

Music has always been a part of his life and he feels blessed to be able to share his joy and love of music by making a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Nancy Porche

Administrative Assistant

Nancy joined Grace in 2005 along with husband, Michael and has been an active participant, serving over the years as both elder and deacon. They have three grown children (two married) and six beautiful grandchildren.  Volunteering in the Grace office led to joining the staff in 2008. Nancy says, “It’s great to be connected and involved in our many activities; to interface with members and visitors alike. There’s always something happening at Grace!”

When not working, walking dogs, or visiting grandchildren, Nancy plays a little golf, does some knitting, and enjoys meeting girlfriends for outings.
